Position Title: Human Resources Coordinator

Location: Delhi, India or Nairobi, Kenya

Reports to: Ling Liang, Global Operations Director

Hours per week (average): 40 (full time)

Overtime Status: Exempt

Position Summary

The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator will work under the direction of and provide HR administrative and operational support to the Global Operations Director. The HR Coordinator will be an important member of the small and nimble WomenLift Health team helping to design, build and implement the ambitious WomenLift Health strategy and work program. This position plays a vital role in supporting hiring, onboarding, the evaluation process, and the Directors team as needed.

Responsibilities and Tasks

The Human Resources Coordinator will work closely with the Global Operations Directors on:

  • Human Resources Support (80%)
    • Support recruiting and hiring
      • Post new positions on Jobsoid, coordinate with Communications team to post on website and other social media channels
      • Screen and tag applicants in Jobsoid, advance applicants for interviews
      • Set up Doodle polls, schedule interviews, send follow up e-mails to applicants, etc.
    • Support onboarding
      • Set up new staff, including orientation scheduling, ordering supplies, setting up accounts, etc.
    • Support evaluation process
  • General Administrative Support (20%)
    • Support WomenLift Directors, also known as SLT (Senior Lead Team) with travel arrangements and other forms of support as prioritized and other duties as needed, including booking travel and submitting reimbursements
    • Meeting support as needed: send out Doodle polls, schedule meetings, and help develop and share materials (agendas, support documents, etc.) in advance of meetings. Take notes during meetings and disseminate.
    • Compose, edit and/or draft presentation materials (Powerpoint), background documents (Word) and materials, reports and agendas for the WomenLift Health team.

Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Ability   

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and 4+ years of related experience
  • Advanced computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications.
  • Demonstrated success in following through and completing projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects.
  • Ability to routinely and independently exercise sound judgment in making decisions.

Valued and Non-Essential Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Ability

  • Experience using Jobsoid or other HR recruiting software
  • Background in global health, gender equity, and leadership development preferred
